Vicinity is committed to providing a safe and secure platform for all users. We have zero tolerance for any content or activity that involves child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). We work proactively to prevent, detect, and address any violations of this policy to ensure the safety of children on our platform.

We strictly prohibit the following activities on our platform:

1. Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse: Any content or activity that depicts, promotes, or facilitates child sexual abuse or exploitation.
2. Sexualizing Minors: Content that depicts or portrays minors in a sexualized manner.
3. Grooming: Attempts to establish an emotional connection with a minor to facilitate exploitation or abuse, including but not limited to inappropriate communication or solicitation.
4. Sharing of Exploitative Material: Sharing, distributing, or attempting to distribute any content that involves CSAE.
5. Enabling Harm: Facilitating or encouraging others to participate in or engage with CSAE-related activities.

If you encounter any content or activity that violates these standards, please report it immediately by using the in-app reporting feature or by contacting us at contact@thevicinityapp.com. All reports are treated confidentially, and we investigate promptly.

When violations are identified, we take immediate action, including but not limited to:

• Removing the offending content.
• Suspending or permanently banning the user responsible.
• Reporting the violation to law enforcement or appropriate authorities.
• Cooperating fully with investigations conducted by law enforcement agencies.

We cooperate with child protection organizations and law enforcement to ensure violations are handled swiftly and effectively. This includes sharing information as required by law to support investigations and prevent further harm.

• We implement measures such as content moderation to detect and prevent CSAE content.

Vicinity complies with all applicable laws and regulations concerning child protection, including but not limited to the U.S. PROTECT Act and global frameworks established to prevent CSAE.

We may update this policy periodically to reflect changes in technology, laws, or our platform. Users will be notified of significant updates through email.
